Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) before and after every shift.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all weight distribution and tie-down requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor (tarping, securing loads).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid Social Security card.
