Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to transport cargo on time and within regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure vehicle safety.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and bars to prevent shifting during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of miles driven, fuel consumed, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere strictly to all federal and state traffic laws, including Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical examination on file.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
