Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in and around the Virginia Beach area and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B License (CDL with Tanker or Hazmat endorsements preferred but not always required for entry-level).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good time management skills and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
