Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary shipping and receiving documentation.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure on-time arrivals.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) must be available for inspection.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Excellent driving record with no DUIs, reckless driving, or major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
