Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a professional manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and efficiently using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected during transit.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work varying schedules, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
