Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport goods safely and efficiently within the Sacramento region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers during loading and unloading processes.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Familiarity with California roadways and Sacramento logistics hubs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to adjust to varying schedule demands.
