Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and map systems to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and cargo handling procedures.
