Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight safely and on time to various locations, including Illinois.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to resolve any delivery issues or route changes.
Qualifications
- A valid CDL Class A license is required (or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment).
- Must possess a clean driving record and be insurable under our company's policy.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate interstate commerce.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks during loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
