Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently on highways and local roads.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Long Beach, CA, and surrounding port areas.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for routine vehicle maintenance.
