Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial Class A and Class B vehicles in accordance with all state and federal regulations (DOT, FMCSA).Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage.Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and electronic records of duty status (RODS).Navigate delivery routes efficiently using GPS systems to meet strict delivery deadlines.Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.Adhere to company safety policies and participate in ongoing safety training programs.
Qualifications
Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).U.S. Citizenship or valid work authorization (required for interstate driving).Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading cargo.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.Previous experience in logistics or transportation is preferred but not always required.
