Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Secure freight using appropriate straps, chains, and binders, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Route Management: Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while minimizing delays and fuel consumption.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and paperwork as required by DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and warehouse personnel to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Arizona.
- Clean Driving Record: No major traffic violations within the last 3 years; a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples endorsements are a plus but not required.
- Medical Card: Current DOT Medical Card valid for interstate or intrastate driving.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
