Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in a safe, timely, and legally compliant manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road readiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely, verifying inventory and securing loads according to weight distribution guidelines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission truck.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
