Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and tractor-trailers on local, regional, and over-the-road routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring safety and preventing damage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving commercial trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.
