Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in a professional and timely manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secure and protected.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or B for local) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols.
- Willingness to travel within North Carolina and Virginia.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
