Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers or box trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam (drug screen and background check included).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Willingness to undergo entry-level training and mentorship.
