Responsibilities
- Safely Operate: Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load & Unload: Secure cargo using proper tie-down methods and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is road-ready.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and meet physical demands of the job (lifting, climbing, etc.).
- Documentation: Valid DOT medical card, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), and proof of citizenship or legal right to work in the USA.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
