Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner throughout North Carolina and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documents.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Good driving record (MVR check) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to learn and complete paid on-the-job training if no prior experience.
