Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently throughout New York and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to traffic laws and company route guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with shippers and receivers.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (NY or equivalent).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic patterns and roadways.
