Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in all weather and road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) on file.
- Pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Ability to read maps, use GPS navigation systems, and understand DOT terminology.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
