Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to safety regulations to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Georgia.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for making change and reading cargo manifests.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
