Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution.
- Complete daily pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delivery expectations.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the company positively at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and valid DOT physical examination certificate.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
