Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner across Florida and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and proper weight distribution.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
