Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver goods safely and on time to designated locations in El Paso and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT Hours of Service) and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus.
