Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently across various routes within the United States.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weights and securing loads to prevent shifting during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and clearance for a DOT drug screen.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong understanding of defensive driving techniques and safety regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties requiring standing, walking, and climbing.
