Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A & B) to transport goods across the Austin metro area and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, distance, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding schedules and delivery details.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Availability for night and weekend shifts if required.
