Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport freight throughout the Austin metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured and accounted for.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients to resolve logistical challenges.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Austin, TX roadways and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer literacy for logging hours and managing delivery paperwork.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
