Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery of cargo, adhering to designated routes and schedules.
- Document all trips accurately using electronic logging devices (ELD) and dispatch systems.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cargo is loaded, secured, and transported without damage.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and participate in ongoing driver training programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Class A or B).
- A clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
