Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in adherence to FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Navigate efficiently between El Paso and designated delivery zones, maintaining on-time performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Uphold a professional image at all times, representing Apex Logistics with integrity.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in commercial truck driving.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and interstate navigation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
