Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (Electronic Logging Device - ELD) and vehicle inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is road-ready.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement methods.
