Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Adhere to company safety policies and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and issues.
- Represent the company professionally at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on role).
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience preferred but not required for entry-level.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, cargo securement, and DOT regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
