Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport cargo to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- A clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to travel regionally or locally as required by the route.
