Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load Handling: Secure cargo using proper techniques and equipment, ensuring safe delivery without damage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and all necessary shipping paperwork.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
- Route Planning: Adhere to assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Equipment: Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission trucks.
