Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper placement.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Colorado.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
