Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes in and around the Austin, GA area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance records as per DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (Training provided for qualified applicants).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- Valid DOT medical card (assistance provided during training).
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading duties and sit for long periods.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to strict safety protocols.
