Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes within Georgia and North Carolina.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, DOT guidelines, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery details.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and North Carolina roadways and traffic laws.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
