Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles in strict compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all company safety policies, traffic laws, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Current DOT medical card and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, map reading, and route planning.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
