Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight on schedule.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) according to hours of service rules.
- Ensure the cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and navigation tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid legal authorization to work in the United States.
