Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods.
- Complete accurate daily logs (ELD) and maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery details.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and cargo securement systems.
