Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Hours of Service (HOS) records.
- Secure cargo properly using straps and bars to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle cleanliness and maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, GPS systems, and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift and handle freight up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
