Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and colleagues.
- Adhere to strict time schedules to meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid CDL Class A or Class B license (or be willing to obtain one).
- Must have a clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic reading and math skills for paperwork accuracy.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
