Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and commercial motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo according to safety regulations.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time and mileage (DOT compliant).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
