Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver cargo to designated locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and all required documentation, including hours of service and delivery receipts.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of the driver, cargo, and the general public.
- Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any delivery concerns.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to load and unload cargo, lift heavy objects, and perform duties that may require standing or walking for extended periods.
