Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks (DVIR).
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Navigate efficiently across Texas and the greater New York region to meet delivery deadlines.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure high levels of service.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples preferred but not required).
- A current, clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and drug screen clearance.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- At least 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends if necessary.
