Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on regional and local routes within Ohio.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties associated with loading.
