Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) within Sacramento metro area and Northern California routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, dollies)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading, delivery confirmations, and incident reports
- Maintain professional appearance and customer service excellence during client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass company physical
- Familiarity with Sacramento area routes and California highway systems
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic smartphone applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
