Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the equipment.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying all bills of lading and delivery documents for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain proper logbooks as required by law.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct routine cleaning of the cab and cargo area to maintain professional standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and current DOT drug screen.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening process.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and DOT compliance standards.
