Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds, or reefers) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting vehicle maintenance needs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and securement protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve route or delivery challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding routes
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, or weekends as needed
- Basic computer skills for digital logs and communication tools
