Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van) following DOT regulations
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally
- Strong knowledge of Kansas City metro area
- Flexibility for overnight travel (2-3 nights/week)
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging
