Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles, including tractor-trailers, in various weather conditions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Keep the vehicle cabin and cargo area clean, organized, and free of debris.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean MVR record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of logbook compliance and navigation software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift cargo and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
