Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across Georgia and Southeast routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timing
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment (pallet jack, forklift)
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and customer communication
- Represent company professionally at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- 1+ year commercial driving experience preferred
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong navigation skills (GPS/Atlas)
- Flexibility for overnight regional trips (10-15% of schedule)
- Valid medical certificate (DOT physical)
